Philly wedding bells rang over the weekend for NBC White House correspondent Kristen Welker, who married John Hughes in a ceremony at the Hyatt at the Bellevue.

As HughE Dillon reported, Welker's wedding took place in the Rose Ballroom, with attendees including NBC reporter Kelly O'Donnell, Meet the Press' Chuck Todd, CNBC's Aditi Roy (a former NBC10 favorite), and Alan Greenspan, the former Federal Reserve chief.

The pair were married by Dare to Imagine Church's the Rev. Kevin Johnson, who posted some photos of the ceremony to social media:

Another guest shared an image showing Welker and Hughes' first dance as a couple, which Dillon reported was to "At Last" by Etta James:

Welker is a Philly native and 1994 graduate of Germantown Friends School who got her start in news broadcasting as a reporter at KRCR-TV in Chico, Calif., in 2001. In 2005, Welker joined the team at NBC10, where she stayed before moving to NBC News in 2010. As Dillon reported, Welker's parents, Harvey and Julie, live in Fairmount.

Welker and Hughes, director of marketing at Merck & Co., had been engaged since June 2016, when Hughes popped the question by the Lincoln Memorial, according to AdWeek. Welker last week teased her then-upcoming marriage with a photo on Instagram of her and Hughes holding a marriage certificate.

As Welker told Ellen Gray during the Democratic National Convention last year, the pair met at the direction of the mother of one of Welker's high school friends.
