Classical night. Sounds boring, right? It was anything but on Dancing with the Stars.
Let's get right to the highlight, shall we? It was Maria Menounos and Derek Hough doing a stunning paso doble to Prokofiev. The capes, the collars, the fangs…yes, it was dancing with the undead.
The routine earned the season's first perfect scores and stirred Len to rhapsodize, "That was amazing. Sharp as a razor, crisp as a Pringle, and with more tension than my grandmother's knickers elastic." Interesting similes.
All the individual scores were combined with the team dance totals as group Tango (Jaleel White and Kym Johnson, Roshon Fegan and Chelsea Hightower, Maria and Derek, and Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas) faced off against group Paso (Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd, William Levy and Cheryl Burke and Melissa Gilbert and Maksim Chmerkovskiy). Amazingly, Tango prevailed despite the impressive bared torsos of the guys on Paso.
At the bottom of the leaderboard last night were Melissa and Maksim who earned straight 7s for their Argentine tango set to Mozart. As Bruno said, "At times, it looked like you were riding the Cyclone at Coney Island. It got messy." Bruno in Brookyn? Now that's classic.
