Fry, Eagles, fry: Nick Foles-inspired dish raises money for charity

Catfish #9 is priced at $21, and 25 percent of the sale will be donated to the Eagles Youth Partnership, the restaurant says.

Name a dish after some celeb? Hah. We've seen grub and drinks added to restaurant menus in shameless bids for publicity.

City Tap House's new deal is different.

The beer destination, on the Radian Balcony (3925 Walnut St., 215-662-0105), is paying tribute to Eagles QB Nick Foles (son of a Texas restaurateur) with a dish called Catfish #9.

Executive chef Chad Vetter's dish is reported to be a Foles favorite: catfish, first soaked in buttermilk and then deep-fried and accompanied by cornmeal-crusted green tomatoes, Andouille white cheddar grits and Creole cocktail sauce.
