Independence Beer Garden sets 2016 opening date

Season 3 of Independence Beer Garden - the seasonal, alfresco destination across from the Liberty Bell on Independence Mall - resumes Friday, April 15 and Saturday, April 16.

The beer garden will open at 11:30 a.m. on those days only and then reopen on Thursday, April 21 for the season.

After that, kitchen hours will be as follows:

Sunday through Tuesday, 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Wednesday and Thursday, 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Friday and Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to midnight.

The restaurant stays open till 2 a.m. later in the week.

Among the new features will be additional lighting and gardens, huge Connect 4 games, and a custom Yards beer.
