Temple building indoor football practice facility

Temple is bringing itself in line with Penn State and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania's other Football Bowl Subdivision programs.

Construction of an indoor practice facility inside the vacated student recreation center across from Geasey Field on 15th Street will be completed on Aug. 1.  Originally, there was some discussion of erecting a simple practice "bubble" behind the Edberg-Olson Hall football complex.

The structure will have a synthetic-surface field with two goal posts and a small practice area beside field.

Penn State and Pitt both have indoor practice facilities. In addition to getting out of the cold, this facility will help Temple with recruiting.
