Temple crushes Toledo, 77-58

TOLEDO, Ohio – The Temple men's basketball team defeated Toledo, 77-58, in a nonconference game Wednesday night at Savage Arena.

Reserve guard Aaron Brown finished with a game-high 19 points as the Owls improved to 5-2.  This game marked Temple's 14 victory in the last 15 meetings against Mid-American Conference teams.

Freshman guard Will Cummings started in place of Khalif Wyatt. The junior guard was benched for the first 9:13 of the game for showing up late for a film study.

Rian Pearson led Toledo (6-2) with 16 points. The Rockets had their six-game winning streak snapped. They also dropped to 0-4 all-time against the Owls.

Temple  travels home to face Villanova in Saturday's much-anticipated Big Five matchup at the Liacouras Center.
