Temple football game at Charlotte moved for national TV

Temple's football game at Charlotte on the first weekend of October has been moved from Saturday, October 3 to Friday, October 2. The move was made in order to accomodate a national TV broadcast, details of which will be announced in the coming weeks.

Charlotte, which used to be an A-10 rival of the Owls in basketball, is playing its first season in the Football Bowl Subdivision this year. The football program only launched in 2013, and spent two years as a FCS level before joining Conference USA this year.

Temple now has three football games in the coming season that will be nationally televised. The others are at East Carolina on Thursday, October 22 (ESPN or ESPN2) and at Southern Methodist on Friday, November 6 (ESPN2 or ESPNU).
