Tennis: Lenape's Kocovic reaches state singles final

Lenape senior Nik Kocovic has advanced to the championship round of the state singles tournament.

Kocovic scored a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Ramapo's Jonathan Carcione in Wednesdya's semifinals at Mercer County Park.

Kocovic, the No. 2 seed, improved his record to 37-0. He will meet top-seeded Mike Lippens of Shore Regional (25-0) in Thursdya's championship match.

Lippens advanced with a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Livingston's Thomas Caputo in the other semifinal.
