Big night for drinking means bigger police presence
The night before Thanksgiving is one of the biggest nights for drinking during the year, nearly on a par with New Year's Eve.
A main reason is that many college students and young adults are home and use the occasion for a reunion of old friends and high school chums. It is sometime called "Black Wednesday" or even "Blackout Wednesday."
That means the police will out looking for drunken drivers. And they are taking to social media to put folks are on notice.
So if you don't want to get in trouble, be sure to have a designated driver or call a cab or car service if you imbibe too much.
