Man shot dead in Camden identified

Authorities have identified a man who was shot dead over the weekend in Camden.

Authorities have identified a man who was shot  dead over the weekend in Camden.

The Camden County Prosecutor's Office said Tuesday that 43-year-old Luis Lopez was found suffering from gunshot wounds on the 900 block of North 33rd Street shortly before 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Officers had been called to that block for a report of a shooting.

The Camden resident was taken to Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:49 p.m. Saturday.

Prosecutors said the investigation into the killing remained underway and no arrests had been made as of Tuesday.
