Hoops: Neshaminy's Ryan Arcidiacono returns to hardwood
Neshaminy's Ryan Arcidiacono, who missed the 2011-12 season with a back injury, returned to the hardwood Wednesday night in the Albert C. Donofrio Classic.
With 17 points and seven assists in 33 minutes, the 6-foot-4, 185-pound senior guard helped the Bucks County All-Stars knock off DeStefano Electric, 101-90, at the Fellowship House in Conshohocken.
Before Wednesday, Arcidiacono, a Villanova commit, had played only in pick-up games since undergoing surgery in late December to repair a herniated disc.
"He played vey well, was smooth out there," Bucks County coach Jim Kenny said.
Arcidiacono has been invited to participate in a USA Basketball training camp to decide the 12 players to represent the country in the 2012 Fibas America U18 Championship, slated for June 16-20 in Sao Sebastiáo do Paraiso, Brazil.
The training camp is set for June 5-12 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.
