J.P. Moorman, a 6-foot-7 small forward from Greensboro Day School in North Carolina has made an oral commitment to Temple. Moorman announced his decision on Twitter.

"Blessed to be able to have this opportunity!!," he wrote. "I'm excited to announce I have verbally committed to Temple University."

Moorman becomes the second player to commit to the Owls for the class of '17. The other player is Roselle Catholic combo guard Nate Pierre-Louis.

Rivals listed Moorman as a 3-star recruit. Among his offers, according to Rivals were Georgia Tech, Cincinnati and Richmond.

Temple remains in the running for De'Vondre Perry, a 6-6 forward from Baltimore's Polytechnic Institute. Perry earlier announced that his final five schools are Temple, Kansas State, Virginia Tech, Seton Hall and USC. He is supposed to announce his decision on Friday.
