Savon Goodman drops La Salle classes

Savon Goodman, who transferred to La Salle in April and was being counted on to join the Explorers for the 2016-17 season, has withdrawn from classes for personal reasons, the basketball program said Thursday in a statement.

La Salle coach John Giannini was not available for comment.

The 6-foot-6 Goodman, who starred locally at Constitution High School, averaged 9.6 points and 6.4 rebounds last season for Arizona State before moving on to La Salle as a graduate transfer.

Goodman played one year at UNLV and for two years with the Sun Devils.
