Last call coming at Osteria Moorestown

Catelli Duo, its replacement, will not reopen there until next spring.

Saturday, Nov. 21 will be the last night at Osteria Moorestown, said Marc Vetri.

Citing a change in their company's strategy, Vetri and his partners last month negotiated a graceful exit from Moorestown Mall, where the offshoot of the Philadelphia Italian restaurant had opened two years ago.

Catelli Duo, an Italian restaurant is about 20 minutes away Voorhees Town Center, will take over the space and will add about 3,600 square feet of space to create additional private dining. This will be a second Catelli Duo location.

Although Catelli Duo had intended to keep the restaurant open, the new restaurant will not open until "late in the first quarter of 2016," a representative said.

Catelli Duo's average guest check of $41 is about half of a similar experience at Osteria Moorestown.

Osteria's flagship on Broad Street in Philadelphia is unaffected.
