The Vetri Family will open a branch of its Roman trattoria Amis at the proposed Devon Yard project, next to the Devon Horse Show grounds on the Main Line.

Representatives of the project at the former Waterloo Gardens went before the Easttown Township Zoning Board this week. The plans, which will face some modifications, will have to go before the Chester County supervisors.

Representatives previously disclosed that Pizzeria Vetri would be part of the development, which would include Anthropologie, a Terrain Outdoor retail courtyard, and residential.

Vetri partner Brad Spence, who oversees the original Amis, which opened in 2010 at 412 S. 13th St., said the new Amis' industrial look would be similar to the city location, with "approachable" Italian food, including the signature cacio e pepe and pork-chop parm.

Demolition work to prepare the site is months away, so an opening date is not even being rumored.
