While Pennsylvania regs require bars to flush beer lines weekly, that doesn't always happen. And even if it does, there's the inevitable commingling of flavors.
World of Beer, a franchise out of Florida that opened its first Pennsylvania location at Main Street at Exton earlier this week, flushes the line after every keg is changed, says general manager Jason Asher.
Besides the 50 taps (brimming with local crafts), World of Beer has 500-plus bottles, a cask engine, and a Crowler machine, which cans 32-ounce beers. Asher says the cans stay fresh for two weeks.
There's also a 3-foot infusion tower, which allows WOB to infuse beer with herbs, coffee, fruit, and the like. For the grand opening, WOB infused Liquid Hero's Juste Le Bout with strawberries, basil, and cucumber.
Cocktails, ciders, and wine, along with nonalcoholic beverages, are also on the menu, which includes giant Bavarian pretzels, tacos, flatbreads, fried pickles, and mac and cheese.
There's a sizable outdoor patio.
