CNN mistakenly labels Pennsylvania as New York in on-screen map
Despite Philadelphia shedding its Sixth Borough designation this week (thanks, Stereogum), it would appear that the state of Pennsylvania has some time to go before it overcomes New York’s hold.

Well, if you ask CNN, at least:
Now, before you get up in arms: No, New York did not annex our beloved state. A follow-up probably would have happened in that case, and our pretzels would already be replaced by bagels.
Instead, CNN's New Day simply mislabeled Pennsylvania as New York on an on-screen map during a broadcast detailing developments in the case of two escaped New York State prisoners.
As host Polo Sandoval noted, those fugitives could be somewhere in "New York's North Country up to Canada, or even south into Mexico." Though, even if the map were correctly labeled, that description basically means "anywhere."
Thankfully, CNN has updated the story online with a correct version of the map graphic, and we now get to maintain our identity.
However, given CNN's graphical gaffe record, the question remains: For how long?
