Funding workshop aimed

at small-business owners

WARRINGTON Members of Bucks County's small-business community are invited to attend a workshop next month about securing grants, loans, and other funding.

The seminar is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sept. 12 at Homewood Suites in Warrington and is being held by SCORE Bucks County, a nonprofit associated with the U.S. Small Business Administration.

"Most companies don't worry about funding until it's the last minute," SCORE Bucks County mentor Seth Shapiro said in a statement.

Speakers are to provide an overview of funding choices that include guerrilla financing, micro loans, venture capital, and angel investors. Afterward, attendees are to participate in breakout sessions.

The cost to attend is $25, which includes lunch. The workshop is free to students with a valid ID. To register or learn more, go to www.BucksCounty.Score.org or call 215-943-8850. - Ben Finley
