Main Line Health on Friday plans to break ground for a $47 million outpatient health center in Concord Township in Delaware County, on Baltimore Pike near the intersection with Brinton Lake Road, the health system said.

In addition to primary and specialty care, the new center will offer urgent care, pediatric care from the Nemours Children's Health System, and services from Bryn Mawr Rehabilitation Hospital.

Main Line already has outpatient centers in Broomall, Collegeville, Exton and Newtown Square. The new Main Line facility will compete with nearby outpatient facilities operated by Crozer-Keystone Health System. Also less than a mile away on Baltimore Pike, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia recently opened a new specialty care and surgery center.
