Outreach ministries help those in need

Last week, we asked readers to tell us what charities they liked to support during the holiday season.

Thanks for taking the time to consider the charities your readers support at holiday time. I believe that many of your readers support charities throughout the year, because the needs of the less fortunate aren't seasonal, they are ongoing.

Chester County Catholic Social Services provides assistance to people of all faiths every day of the year. The agency has Family Service Centers in West Chester, West Grove and Coatesville, and their staff and volunteers make a difference in the lives of those who need their help. It is a blessing for members of the Chester County community to be able to volunteer their time, talent and financial resources to help others through Chester County Catholic Social Services and other fine outreach ministries serving people in need in our community.
