Van bursts into flames in Old City

A van burst into flames in the middle of Market Street on Tuesday afternoon, blocking a busy Old City intersection.

The Philadelphia Fire Department said the vehicle caught fire at 4th and Market streets just after 1:30 p.m.

It took crews about 10 minutes to extinguish the blaze.

No injuries were reported.

It wasn't immediately known what caused the fire.
