A man who was fatally shot inside a Swampoodle restaurant over the weekend was identified Monday as 23-year-old Aaron Jones.
A man who was fatally shot inside a Swampoodle restaurant over the weekend was identified Monday as 23-year-old Aaron Jones.
Jones, of the 3100 block of North Rosewood Street, was an employee of the Burger Lane restaurant, 2805 N. 22d St, where the shooting occurred about 1:15 p.m. Saturday. A 16-year-old boy who worked there also was wounded.
Police have not yet reported the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Officers responding to a call found Jones suffering a bullet to his back inside the restaurant.
They took him to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:42 p.m., police said.
The wounded teen, in the meantime, had been taken to the hospital in a private vehicle, police said. He was reported in stable condition with a gunshot wound to the right leg.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
