Man crashes, gets naked and onanistic
A South Jersey man has been charged with driving under the influence after he crashed his car in Philadelphia, stripped naked and began an offensive act captured on video and – naturally – posted on YouTube for all to see.
Vincent J. Wade, 34, of Pennsauken, Camden County, was arrested Monday and charged as a first offender as an impaired driver and released after posting $500 – or 10 percent of $5,000 bail, municipal court records show.
In the video, Wade stands next to the open driver side door of his silver Toyota Camry with his pants down around his ankles and his shirt off. His car had crashed about 10:30 a.m. into a pole under the sign for Crown Chicken & Grill on the 500 block of West Lehigh Avenue in the Fairhill section of North Philadelphia.
Upon emerging from the car, witnesses told police, Wade became irate and was incoherent, at one point yelling out: "Jehova's Witness"!
Wade begins what appears to be an onanistic act before shimmying his buttocks in a sort of dance before a group of three men on the corner and another man crossing the street. Wade then attempted to drive away, but an unidentified person was able to wrest his keys away.
Police said Wade tested positive for narcotics and was uninjured. It was not clear what type of drug Wade had taken. A court hearing is scheduled for Feb. 26 at 10 a.m.
