Man fatally shot outside Camden apartment complex

Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting outside a Camden apartment complex.

The Camden County Prosecutor's Office said 38-year-old Wallys Sanchez was found shot to death inside a car parked in front of building 22 at the Centennial Village Apartments at about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Officers were called to the area for a report of gunfire and found Sanchez, of Camden, in the driver's seat of the 1994 Toyota Camry, prosecutors said. The car's engine was running.

Sanchez was pronounced dead at the scene and his death is being investigated as a homicide.
