An accident involving a SEPTA bus and a school bus in South Philadelphia this afternoon injured 11 people, including a school child.

None of the injuries were considered life threatening, said SEPTA and school district officials.

About 4:45 p.m. SEPTA's Route 17 bus collided with the school bus at 19th and Moore Streets. Ten riders on the SEPTA bus received minor injuries. The only child on the school bus also was hurt, said SEPTA spokeswoman Heather Redfern.

A spokesman for the school district did not know the identity of the child or the name of the school the child attends.
