Two Northeast Philadelphia teens suspected of assaulting a SEPTA bus driver on April 2 are now in police custody.

Carlos Masip, 18, and a 17-year-old boy, whom police did not identify because of his age, agreed to pay later when they boarded the Route 124 bus at the King of Prussia Mall, police said. When the bus reached Center City, they allegedly beat the driver then ran off without paying.

The 17-year-old, of Anchor Street near Torresdale Avenue, was arrested Friday. Later, Masip, of Algon Street near Devereaux Avenue, turned himself in to 15th District headquarters at Harbison Avenue and Levick Street, police said. Both suspects face assault and robbery charges.
