According to police, Ashley Ian Doyle, 23, went to the Colonial Hyundai dealership in Caln Township about 3 a.m. on April 2 armed with a bowling ball, metal rod, lighter fluid and lighter. After smashing a window with the ball, Doyle cleared the broken glass with the rod, entered the building, and set a fire on the sales manager's desk, police said.
Doyle left the scene and later checked himself into a medical facility, where he told the staff he regretted his actions, police said. Chester County Court Judge Howard F. Riley yesterday also ordered him to pay $76,000 in restitution. - Kathleen Brady Shea
