A 3-year-old girl was seriously injured Saturday when her father crashed his car while drag-racing with a teenager in Lower Bucks County, police said.
The girl, whose name was not released, was flown by helicopter to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where she underwent surgery. Police had no further information yesterday about her condition.
Her father, identified as Nicholas Dipasquale, 39, of Bensalem, suffered a leg injury and underwent surgery at St. Mary Medical Center, police said.
The 17-year-old driver of the other vehicle, Yaroslav Dankulich of Trevose, also suffered injuries and was listed in stable condition at Frankford Torresdale Hospital.
Police said Dipasquale and Dankulich were drag-racing westbound on Business Route 1 in Middletown Township when they crashed into a guide rail at the entrance of the Aqua Pennsylvania Water Co.
Dankulich's 2007 Scion went over the guide rail and stopped in a ditch. Dipasquale's 2003 Infiniti drove through the guide rail and briefly went airborne. It then continued across the water company's lawn, crashed through its main gate and passed over a small bridge on the company's property, police said.
Police did not release any information about possible charges stemming from the accident.
