Girl, 11, dies during sleepover in Northeast Philly

She was found unresponsive after a sleepover and pronounced dead at a hospital.

Police are investigating the death of an 11-year-old girl who was found unresponsive Wednesday morning after a sleepover at a neighbor's home in Northeast Philadelphia.

Police said the girl was found unresponsive about 10:15 a.m. in the neighbor's home on the 9200 block of Angus Place. She was taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital and pronounced dead at 11:20 a.m, police said. Homicide detectives are investigating.
