Snow is falling across the Philadelphia region as the area grapples with its second nor'easter in the past week. The heaviest snow is expected Wednesday afternoon, with the precipitation forecast to end sometime in the evening.

The National Weather Service is calling for Philadelphia to get six to eight inches of snow, with much higher totals possible north and west of the city. If amounts land on the higher end of the expected range, the storm's snow total could end up as one of the biggest March snowfalls in Philadelphia history.

The storm has prompted schools around the region to close for the day and transit agencies to adjust their schedules. There are many closings and cancellations around the area, but some events, like the Philadelphia Flower Show, are still on. Meanwhile, many are bracing for power outages.
