For Deanna George, it was “the way the outdoor spaces blend into the indoor spaces.”

For her husband, Nate, it was the “rustic/modern” look and the four separate outdoor spaces.

Those were among the main reasons they bought the newly constructed, three-bedroom, 2½-bath townhouse in Manayunk in 2019.

But circumstances have changed — mainly the pending arrival of a second child — and they are moving to the Wayne area and more space.

Nate, a consultant to the pharmaceutical industry, and Deanna, a physical therapist, also liked Manayunk’s combination of sophistication and rustic charm. Deanna particularly liked the opportunities for hiking and biking.

The 2,238-square-foot house has three stories plus the roof deck, and the elevated open-plan first floor has a modern kitchen with 42-inch cabinets, quartz counters, stainless steel appliances, a bar sink, and center island with seating.

The living room has 12-foot-plus ceilings and a separate dining area.

The living room has access to the front porch, which, in turn, has access to street level. There is also a paver patio off the kitchen.

The second floor has two large bedrooms with double closets, a full bath, and a laundry room.

The primary bedroom suite takes up the entire third floor and has a double-door entry and balcony. It has an outdoor sitting area and a bathroom with a soaking tub and walk-in, glass-enclosed shower, water closet, and double-sink vanity.

Other features include a tankless hot water heater, large windows, upgraded HVAC, ample natural light, and a garage.

There is easy access to the SEPTA Regional Rail and other transportation to Center City, and the walk to Main Street takes about three minutes. The house has seven years left on the tax abatement.

It is listed by Dave Hinkel of Coldwell Banker Realty for $625,000.
