Will Taylor Swift be at the Eagles-Chiefs game? An expert Swiftie predicts.

Some are speculating that the game will be the first time both families meet, while others are more concerned with Swift's moral dilemma: To root for the Eagles, or the Chiefs?

Fans have begun to speculate that Taylor Swift will bring her family to meet the Donna and Ed Kelce, mom and dad of Kansas City Chief's tight end Travis (pictured) and Eagles center Jason, at the Eagles-Chiefs game scheduled for Monday, Nov. 20, 2023 at Arrowhead Stadium.

The stakes are already high for Monday’s Eagles-Chiefs game at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium: Both teams are ranked first in their conference, a pair of brothers are facing off, and a certain pop star could be in attendance with parents in tow.

That pop star, of course, could also lose her Philly street cred in the process.

After Taylor Swift started attending Chiefs games to cheer on Travis Kelce — the tight end and brother of Eagles center Jason Kelce who shot his shot with Swift via friendship bracelet — the questions haven’t stopped flowing.

Are Swift and Travis dating? Have their parents met? Will Swift join them meet at the Eagles-Chiefs game? Is Swift still an Eagles fan? And if Swift is, could their relationship be one big ploy to sabotage the Chiefs and get the Eagles another Super Bowl ring?

We don’t have all the answers — but we do have a lifelong Swiftie on staff who spends a disproportionate amount of time thinking about Swift, her schedule, and how she has time to fit in football games during an international tour.

Here are my predictions for the Eagles-Chiefs game, plus a recap of Swift and Kelce’s whirlwind relationship.

Will Taylor Swift be at the Eagles-Chiefs game on Monday?

Probably.

The game is being touted as a “family reunion,” where the Swifts will meet the Kelces for the first time, according to ET. Talk about a high-stakes meeting of the parents.

Swift and Travis have spent plenty of time getting to know each other’s families. Last weekend, Travis was in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he spent time trying to convince Swift’s dad, Scott, to become a Chiefs fan.

“[I] got him over to the good side, baby,” Travis joked to his brother Jason on a recent episode of the New Heights podcast. Scott was filmed high-fiving and laughing with Travis at the “Eras Tour” in a Chiefs lanyard, which is equal parts cute and treasonous.

Swift, meanwhile, has cheered on Travis with Kelce matriarch Donna and their dad Ed.

Now, you might be thinking: Didn’t you just say Swift is in the middle of the Latin American leg of the “Eras Tour”?

Yes, but according to Swift’s tour schedule, she has a four-day break between her final show in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday and her set of performances in São Paulo that begin on Friday. That gives her just enough time to hop on her private jet, fly to Kansas City, spend Thanksgiving fielding questions about her football allegiances, and head back to Brazil.

Wait … are Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce officially dating?

That’s a very enthusiastic yes.

During the second Buenos Aires show, where Travis was in attendance, Swift spent the evening dropping rather large hints that she was, in fact, dating the boy on the football team.

After pointing at Travis during a line in “Blank Space” about how she “loves the players,” Swift changed a lyric in the song “Karma” to say, “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me.” And when the concert ended, fans filmed the couple kissing passionately backstage, which leaves little ambiguity about where they stand.

Who might Taylor Swift watch the game with?

You — potentially.

Though the game is supposed to be a family affair, Barefoot Wine is partnering with Donna Kelce to give one lucky fan the chance to watch the game from a suite with Donna. That fan hasn’t been announced yet.

Should you find yourself in box with Swift, her family, and the Kelces, here’s a cheat sheet for some of the other people you could share stadium food with:

  1. Andrea Swift: This is Swift’s mom, who regularly attends Swift’s shows in her signature all-black outfits. A former marketing executive who apparently once hopped on a jet ski to rescue strangers stranded on a boat in Stone Harbor, talk to her about her great Dane, baking, and corny jokes.

  2. Austin Swift: This is Swift’s younger brother, who helps license her music for films. He studied film at the University of Notre Dame before going on to have a brief acting career. Talk to him about Daniel Craig, the Top Gun franchise, and the Fighting Irish.

  3. Brittany Mahomes: She’s the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and a fast friend of Swift’s — the two even have a secret handshake. Talk to her about the KC Current, the professional women’s soccer team she co-owns and cofounded.

Who will Taylor Swift root for?

That’s the million-dollar question.

Swift grew up in Wyomissing, a suburb of Reading just over an hour from Philly, and has repped the Birds big-time. During the first night of the “Eras Tour Philly” stint, Swift confirmed that a lyric in the song “gold rush” about an “Eagles T-shirt hanging from the door” is about the football team, not the classic rock band.

Who would’ve known that she would actually leave her Eagles jersey on the door, showing up to four Chiefs games in red and gold, down to her lipstick.

Birds Nation is still in denial that the world’s biggest pop star isn’t all-in for the home team anymore, going full tin-hat mode to explain that Swift is actually a sleeper agent who is cozying up to Travis in hopes of dashing the Chiefs’ Super Bowl LVIII chances.

In reality, Travis has been averaging 52 more yards per game when Swift is on the bleachers (or, err, in the box) than when she isn’t.

What about her dad, Scott Swift?

Sorry to Travis: Try all you want, Scott Swift is an Eagles fan.

Scott grew up Bryn Mawr (a.k.a. solid Eagles country) before going on to play Division 1 football as a center at the University of Delaware, so it’s going to take a bit more than some Chiefs merch to get Scott to switch sides — at least if Jason Kelce has anything to do with it.

“What are we doing, Scott?” Jason pleaded on the latest episode of New Heights. “You’re going to let this man’s devilishly good looks and relationship with your daughter sway you from a lifetime of fandom, Scott? This is ridiculous.”
