Man dies after high-speed crash in East Falls

A 25-year-old man died early Sunday after his car crashed in East Falls.

The crash took place about 2:15 a.m. on Henry Avenue near Coulter Street, according to police. Investigators said they believe the driver lost control of the vehicle while traveling at a high rate of speed, causing the car to skid off the road and crash into a utility pole.

Medics removed the man from the vehicle, which had rolled over from the force of the collision, and pronounced him dead at the scene, police said. His identity was not released Sunday.
