A bus driver ran over a 23-year-old in Center City on Sunday night, police said.
The man was sleeping on the curb at 13th and Sansom Streets when the unknown bus struck him. The bus did not stop and drove away from the scene.
A nearby person called 911, and a Philadelphia Fire Department ambulance transported the man to Jefferson University Hospital.
He was listed in critical condition.
SEPTA has received no reports that one of its buses was involved in the crash so far, according to spokesperson Andrew Busch. The police department is continuing to investigate the incident.
