The Phillies and Union were back in action as Philly sports returns to normal. But they weren’t the only ones in action this week. Here’s a look at our best photos.

Each Friday, Inquirer photo editors pick the best sports images from the last seven days. And this week saw the Philly sports landscape begin its return to normal, after the World Cup and MLB All-Star Game swept through town earlier this month. That means both the Phillies and Union returned to action — the latter after six weeks off — and both did so in home matchups against teams from New York, with much different results.

The Phillies’ post-All-Star break struggles continued as they followed their series loss to the Mets by dropping two of three to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
