Cheep trills coming to W. Vincent

The West Vincent Environmental Advisory Council, a participant in Audubon Pennsylvania's Bird Town program, will present “The Great Backyard Bird Count - What's in Your Backyard?” on Sunday from 4 to 5 p.m. at the West Vincent Township Building.

The West Vincent Environmental Advisory Council, a participant in Audubon Pennsylvania's Bird Town program, will present "The Great Backyard Bird Count - What's in Your Backyard?" on Sunday from 4 to 5 p.m. at the West Vincent Township Building, 729 St. Matthews Rd.

Beginners and families are welcome at this informative talk about an accessible science program: the Great Backyard Bird Count. The presentation, which comes about a month before the event, is planned to prepare participants to apply what they learn right away. The instruction from Audubon's Steven Saffier will focus on common birds you're likely to see, how to attract them, and how to record your sightings. You'll not only be contributing to this national effort but also to the efforts of your local Bird Town. Refreshments will be served. If you'd like to attend, RSVP to the township at 610-458-1601 or  office@westvincenttwp.org by Friday.
