A Bethlehem man has been arrested and charged with killing his former high school teacher and the child he fathered with her.
Isaac Duran Infante, 23, of Schoenersville Road, was arrested Tuesday in New York and charged with first-degree murder and second-degree murder in the deaths of Miguel Barahona, 4, and Felicia Barahona, 36, according to the Allentown Morning Call.
In 2013, Barahona made headlines when officials at DeWitt Clinton High School in the Bronx revealed that she was in a sexual relationship with a student. Infante was 15 when Barahona struck up a relationship with him on Facebook; news reports differ, but indicate he was either 17 or 18 when they had sex.
The 36-year-old mother and Afghanistan War veteran was found dead Monday morning in the living room of her Manhattan apartment with an electrical cord around her neck. The boy was found drowned in the bathtub, the Post reported.

Infante, who allegedly confessed to police, became upset at the way Barahona was raising the boy and complained about child-support payments, according to the Post story.
He initially told police he had not visited Barahona's six-story apartment building, but surveillance footage showed him going in and out of the building over the course of several days, according to the Post.
