Police are asking for help identifying a woman who was found wandering near Pennypack Park early Monday morning.

Someone called authorities just before 2 a.m. Monday after seeing the woman walking on the 8700 block of Pine Road, on the border of Fox Chase and Bustleton neighborhoods, police said.

The woman, who was not wearing a coat on a chilly night during which the temperature dropped into the 30s, was uncooperative and confused when officers tried to talk to her, police said.

She was taken to Jeanes Hospital for a medical evaluation and investigators are trying to find her family.

The woman was described as in her late 60s or early 70s, about 175 pounds and having gray hair. She was wearing a blue sweatshirt, blue scrub pants and white sneakers. Anyone with information can call Northeast Detectives at 215-686-3153.
