A man found dead in an overturned SUV in Germantown on Tuesday has been identified.

Police said the call for the crash on the 500 block of Walnut Lane came in at 12:31 p.m. Officers arrived within minutes and found an overturned Ford Expedition. Terrell Bruce, 33, from the 900 block of E. Hortter Street was found unresponsive inside the car, according to police.

Medics determined Bruce had been shot once in the right temple and pronounced him dead at 12:35 p.m., police said.

According to witnesses, an unknown woman got out of the Expedition and ran across the Walnut Lane Bridge after the accident. She was later taken into custody and is being questioned by police. No charges have been filed at this time, police said.

The shooting remains under investigation.
