New Jersey garbage man struck by own truck

A New Jersey garbage man suffered serious injuries Tuesday afternoon after he was struck by his own truck as he picked up trash.

Gregory Lamar, 29, was struck along Woodcrest Way in Manalapan Township, Monmouth County, and was pinned against another vehicle just before 2 p.m., according to NJ.com.

Police found that the Future Sanitations truck driver, 40-year-old Shavar Williams, of Cliffwood, was found to be driving on a suspended license, according to the news website. Williams was offered a summons.

Lamar was is receiving treatment at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, the website reported.
