A passenger on board an international flight from Paris died mid-air during a flight to Philadelphia on Saturday.
Mary Flannery, a spokesperson at the Philadelphia International Airport, said the passenger, on board Delta Flight 79 from Paris' Charles de Gaulle Airport, was declared dead upon the plane's arrival just after 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
"This isn't the first time," Flannery said of a passenger arriving in Philadelphia unresponsive. "But it isn't common at all."
Both Tinicum Township Police and the Delaware County Medical Examiner responded to the call. The name of the passenger has not been released, but officials say the death isn't believed to be suspicious.
Delta Airlines didn't immediately return a request for comment.
