Source: St. Joe's Prep QB Skyler Mornhinweg plans to visit two or three other schools

According to a source familiar with the situation, St. Joseph's Prep senior quarterback Sklyer Mornhinweg, while keeping his oral commitment to Penn State, plans to visit "two or three" other schools in January.

The source said Mornhinweg hopes to sort out which schools to visit over the holiday break.

The 6-foot-3, 215-pounder met recently at the Prep with Penn State interim coach Tom Bradley and recruiting coordinator Ron Vanderlinden. The visit, the source said, went well and Mornhinweg came away impressed with Bradley.

Mornhinweg orally committed to Penn State in July. He also took unofficial visits to Tennessee and Alabama. Miami, Illinois, and Florida State were also in the running for his services.

Prior to his sophomore year, Mornhinweg, who doubled as a free safety for the Hawks, orally committed to Stanford. He re-opened the recruiting process when Jim Harbaugh left Stanford to take over the San Francisco 49ers.
