Nova adds two more football commitments

Wissahickon's Tonah Kpassagnon and Aaron Wells of River Hill (Md.) gave oral commitments Monday to play football at Villanova. The players, who will be high school seniors in the fall, became the Wildcats seventh and eighth commitments for the Class of 2012.
Kpassagnon, a 6-foot-7, 245-pound defensive end/tight end, was also being recruited by Princeton and Stony Brook.  Wells, a 5-8, 185-pound running back, was receiving some interest from Pittsburgh, Stanford, Rutgers and Wake Forest.
Villanova, however, was the only school to offer both players a scholarship.
A freak of nature, Kpassagnon has a 39-inch vertical. Though raw, he impressed the Wildcats coaching staff with his athletic ability during a one-day camp. Kpassagnon also plays center on Wissahickon's basketball team.
Wells, who covers 40 yards in 4.3 seconds, is regarded as one the fastest running backs in Maryland. He rushed for 1,500 yards and 18 touchdowns last season. On defense, he was a lockdown cornebacker. His ability to shine on both sides of the ball is one of the reason's MDHigh.com has him ranked as Maryland's fifth-best athlete in his class.
