Closings: Hikaru in Manayunk, Marlene Mangia Bene in Woodbury

The Japanese mainstay suffered from soft business.

Hikaru's Manayunk location closed this week after 21 years.

Takashi "Stash" Yoshida, who also owns the building that housed the Japanese restaurant at 4348 Main St., said business was off.

He is seeking a new tenant; the space on two levels has a liquor license.

Yoshida said the Hikaru location on Second Street in Queen Village, which he opened in 1983, is still going strong.
