The suspect in a quadruple shooting in Kensington that left three people dead has been charged with three counts of murder and one count of attempted murder.

Police on Monday identified 46-year-old James Elijah Dickson as the suspect in the deadly shooting spree Sunday morning on the 600 block of East Westmoreland Street.

Officers responded to the rowhouse after a man called police from the house, saying he had shot three people.

Dickson barricaded himself inside but later surrendered to police.

Inside the home, officers found three people who had been shot dead: 46-year-old Edwin Laboy, an unidentified woman and unidentified man.

All had been shot in the head.

A fourth victim was shot in the arm; he survived and was able to escape. That man was listed in critical condition at Temple University Hospital.
