Multi-vehicle crash on Route 30 in Chesco leaves 1 dead, 4 injured

One person was killed and four others injured in a multi-vehicle crash Friday night in Chester County, authorities said.

The accident occurred on the westbound side about 9:10 p.m. on the Route 30 bypass west of Downingtown in Caln Township, a county dispatcher said.

The westbound lanes were closed for an investigation and cleanup and heavy delays were reported on the eastbound side. No further information was available on the victims. - Robert Moran
