A man shot dead late Tuesday in East Germantown was identified this morning as 18-year-old Kylif Woods.

Police are seeking a motive in the slaying of Woods, of the 1200 block of Lindley Avenue in Logan.

Woods was twice in the back and once each in the chest and right side shortly before 11 p.m. on the 6100 block of Belfield Avenue, police said.

He staggered to East Cosgrove Street and collapsed, police said.

Officers took the wounded man in a patrol car to Albert Einstein Medical Center, but he was pronounced dead at 11:17 p.m., police said.

Court records show Woods has a history of drug arrests and was out on $1,000 awaiting trial for charges from one arrest in February.
