3 slain in Philadelphia on Wednesday are identified

Police have released the names of three men killed Wednesday in separate shootings in Philadelphia.Investigators have not reported if they have established a motive in any of the slayings. Malik Harvin, 23, was shot and the chest and fatally wounded at 3:17 a.m. while sitting on a porch on the 2200 block of North Gratz Street in North Philadelphia, police said.

Malik Harvin, 23, was shot and the chest and fatally wounded at 3:17 a.m. while sitting on a porch on the 2200 block of North Gratz Street in North Philadelphia, police said.

Harvin lived one block over on the 2200 block of North 19th Street, police said.

Rasheen Mainor, 33, was shot once in the back of the head on the 3800 block of Haverford Avenue in West Philadelphia's Mantua section about 9:30 a.m., police said.

, who lived on the block, died a short time later at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Layton Hagans, 22, was hit multiple times when gunfire rang our about 4:30 p.m. on the 2500 block of North Napa Street in Strawberry Mansion, police said. Hagans, who lived nearby on the 3300 block of West Haggert Street, was pronounced dead at 4:47 p.m. at Temple University Hospital.

That daylight killing happened about four blocks away from the scene of a shooting last week that wounded two 13-year-old girls hospitalized and left a 17-year-old boy facing two counts of attempted murder and other charges.
