Montco TV producers up for daytime Emmys

Haverford High School graduate Steve Rotfeld and his son, Lower Merion High graduate Robby Rotfeld, have produced two TV series that have been nominated for Daytime Emmy Awards, scheduled to be announced Sunday in Los Angeles.

"Awesome Adventures," with Steve Rotfeld as executive producer, is nominated in the outstanding travel program category, and Xploration Animal Science, with Steve Rotfeld as executive producer and Robby Rotfeld as coproducer, is nominated in the outstanding children's series category.

The Emmys are awarded by the New York- and the Los Angeles-based academies.

Along with his father, Philadelphia native Berl Rotfeld, Steve Rotfeld produced the award-winning Greatest Sports Legends in the 1970s, '80s, and '90s. - Inquirer staff
