2 teens shot in North Philly, one of them 17 times

Both boys were shot in the 1000 block of Cambridge Street, police said.

Two 15-year-old boys were wounded in a shooting Monday night in North Philadelphia, police said.

Gunfire erupted around 8:30 p.m. outdoors in the 1000 block of Cambridge Street.

One boy was shot 17 times throughout his body. He was transported by police to Temple University Hospital and listed in stable condition.

The other boy was shot once in the left leg. He was taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and also listed in stable condition.

Police reported no arrests.
